
Network Coordinator (SWIDN)
SWIDN are looking for a part time (2 days per week) Network Coordinator to lead on running our memberships processes, organise activities and events for members, manage our systems and processes – including finance and website management – and contribute to the vision, strategy and culture of the organisation.

Job Purpose
The Network Coordinator will oversee SWIDN’s memberships, managing the renewals and sign up process, weekly communications, and regular events designed to support our diverse network members. By managing communications, systems and processes, this role is a vital part of the team, ensuring the network operates effectively to achieve our goals, within our budget and provides a high quality service to our members and our wider community.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Membership and Operations Management
- Oversee annual membership renewals, new member requests to join and process payments as required
- Event Management
- Contribute to planning events that support our members
- Schedule, promote, organise and attend all events and training delivered to our members (90% online)
- Website and Communications
- Produce weekly emails to members including monthly newsletters, fundraising opportunities, sector news and events, etc
- Promote SWIDN events and activities across our website and social media platforms, protecting our brand and how it is used by others
- Manage back end website user experience, problem-solving WordPress issues as required
- Finance
- Oversee online payments through Stripe
- Keep accurate financial records and reports of income and expenditure via Quickbooks (training available)
- Governance
- Support Annual Accounts process
- Organise, attend and take minutes for quarterly board meetings (March, June, September, December)
Person Specification
We are keen to hear from anyone interested in the role. We will be looking for an individual who has some of the following:
Essential
- A commitment to SWIDN’s values, mission and members
- Detail-oriented, efficient, organised and able to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Self-motivated and able to work alone using own initiative
- Relationship building and communication skills to establish and maintain good working relationships
- Ability to be flexible and meet tight deadlines
- Experience using back-end web software, specifically WordPress, including the ability to update web pages
- Willingness and capacity to travel to Bristol on occasion
- Experience of managing financial systems and book-keeping
Desirable
- Experience working in the UK’s ‘international development’ sector
- Experience in event management
- Experience of working for a membership network
- Experience of working with people at a distance using a range of communications platforms
- Experience of managing websites and social media accounts
- Knowledge of Quickbooks or other financial software
